U.S. natural sweeteners manufacturer and distributor Malt Products Corp. has committed more than $15 million in a new modern drying plant, incorporating a vacuum belt dryer.
The new 58-foot-long machine has completed installation and validation and is currently operating at Malt Products’ Dayton, Ohio manufacturing plant.
The company said that the new drying plant will continue its commitment to supply natural sweeteners which are minimally processed and environmentally sustainable.
The advanced technology of the plant will allow Malt Products to manufacture products like honey, agave and molasses that are difficult or impossible to dry on a spray dryer without additives.
